Acceptgiro test facilities to close on 1 January 2023
Currence has informed certified Acceptgiro printers and service bureaux that the test facilities for Acceptgiro will close on 1 January 2023.

Details of certified printers and service bureaux will be removed from the Acceptgiro website on 1 March.
No more Acceptgiro forms to be distributed after 1 March 2023
Currence has asked distributors of Acceptgiro forms to stop sending new forms to their customers from 1 March 2023.
Currence also advises printers and service bureaux not to supply their customers with more Acceptgiro forms than those customers can send before 1 March 2023.
Currence asks printers, service bureaux and users of Acceptgiro forms to remove all information about Acceptgiro from their websites, preferably before 1 March 2023 and no later than 31 May 2023.
Tell customers in good time which alternative they can use
Printers and service bureaux can advise their customers to inform their own customers in good time about the alternatives to Acceptgiro that they offer. Distributors of Acceptgiro forms can consult the websites of banks, Acceptgiro and the Dutch Payments Association for suitable alternatives.
Gijs Boudewijn, Director of the Dutch Payments Association, said: “We are seeing distributors actively working on alternatives to Acceptgiro, including paper-based alternatives. For example, an occasional donation to a charity can easily be paid using a one-off direct debit authorisation on paper.”
