Dutch Payments Association Legal Affairs Working Group (WJZB)

The Dutch Payments Association Legal Affairs Working Group is the legal expert platform within the Dutch Payments Association. Members jointly interpret legal issues in payments, with the aim of developing uniform, sector-wide positions. This helps prevent fragmented or conflicting legal interpretations across the sector. The working group focuses on current and forthcoming laws and regulations affecting payments in the Netherlands. In this way, it contributes to a well-informed, coherent and future-proof sector.

  • Contribute to uniform, sector-wide legal views
  • Share legal knowledge and insights among members of the Dutch Payments Association

  • Consumer Credit Directive II

    The working group monitors the implications of CCD2 for payments and discusses how the legislation affects payment service providers in practice.

  • Cash

    The working group discusses legal developments around cash, including legislation and its significance for the sector.

  • European Accessibility Act

    The working group assesses the legal implications of the European Accessibility Act and explores what the Act requires of payment service providers.

What have we achieved so far?

Review of the European Accessibility Act

The working group conducted a substantive review of the European Accessibility Act and discussed what the legislation means for payments. This helps members interpret legal developments in good time and prepare effectively for new obligations.

Review of cash legislation

The working group has conducted a legal review of developments in cash legislation. This review helps members form a shared and well-founded view of the implications of the legislation.

Review of the PNBF process

The working group conducted a legal review of the PNBF process. This contributes to a careful assessment of processes relevant to payments.
