eIDAS Taskforce

The eIDAS Task Force analyses the impact of eIDAS 2.0 and the European Digital Identity Wallet on payments in the Netherlands. The task force examines what the acceptance obligations of the EUDI Wallet mean for payment service providers. In addition, the task force looks at innovative applications of digital wallets within payment processes. In this way, the task force helps the sector to identify new developments in digital identity in a timely manner and to remain well prepared.

In May 2025, the eIDAS Taskforce published an in-depth article on the EUDI Wallet obligations for payment service providers. The publication sets out the taskforce’s interpretation of the legislation and its potential impact on payments.
