Payconiq announced
On 20 April, the major Dutch banks announced a new European payment service called Payconiq . The new service, scheduled to become available in the summer, will support every type of payment through a single app: online, in physical shops and between consumers.
The Dutch Payments Association is following this development with interest and considers the announcement a strategic move amid the highly dynamic European payments market. The rise of fintech, rapid technological innovation and new regulation will make it relatively easy for innovative new providers to enter the payments market from January 2018.
Dutch banks, which are members of the Dutch Payments Association, are among the most innovative banks in Europe. Dutch payments lead the way in reliability, innovation and efficiency, as this announcement once again demonstrates.
