You do better business with an accessible online shop!
The Digital Accessibility expert group within Thuiswinkel.org’s Shopping Tomorrow programme, presents the bluepaper ‘Why every webshop should be digitally accessible‘. In this bluepaper, the expert group offers concrete steps to improve customers’ user experience and to comply with the new European Accessibility Act.

Digital accessibility for people with disabilities is becoming increasingly important, both socially and legally. From June 2025, all online shops in the EU must comply with the European Accessibility Act . Among other things, the bluepaper shows that many online shops are not yet ready for this.
Accessibility is also important for people without disabilities. Research in the bluepaper shows that many consumers, with and without disabilities, regularly get stuck in inaccessible web shops. These online shops can grow by putting accessibility higher on their agenda.
The bluepaper for Shopping Tomorrow was produced under the guidance of the Payments Association and web agency Level Level .
