Cards Working Group

The Cards Working Group monitors and discusses developments in debit card payments in the Netherlands, both at the point-of-sale and online. The working group operates at tactical and operational level and identifies relevant changes in good time. Where necessary, it makes joint arrangements or provides recommendations to the management team and the board of the Dutch Payments Association. By identifying developments early and coordinating them effectively among the parties involved, the working group contributes to secure, efficient and reliable card payments.

  • European Accessibility Act

    The working group monitors the consequences of the European Accessibility Act for card payments and discusses what these developments mean for providers of payment services and payment solutions.

  • iDEAL Wero migration

    The working group monitors the developments surrounding the migration from iDEAL to Wero and discusses the consequences for payments in the Netherlands and the market parties involved.

  • PSD3 and PSR

    The working group discusses the possible impact of PSD3 and the Payment Services Regulation on card payments, processes and responsibilities within the sector.

Contributing to policy-making around card payments

The working group has contributed to policy-making in the field of card payments in recent years. By identifying and discussing developments at an early stage, the working group helps the Dutch Payments Association to make well-founded choices.
