Shop refunds can now be paid to debit cards

ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank offer debit card refunds

Dutch consumers usually receive cash when returning goods. That can now change, as ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank are enabling their business customers to offer Retourpinnen, a service for refunds to debit cards.

With Retourpinnen, consumers who return a purchase to a shop have the money paid directly back into their bank account. A refund transaction is possible when the purchase was paid for with a debit card or credit card, regardless of which bank the consumer uses.
