European Parliament approves SEPA transition period

On 4 February 2014, the European Parliament approved the European Commission’s proposal to introduce a six-month transition period after the SEPA deadline of 1 February 2014.

In line with earlier announcements, banks will continue to process Dutch direct debits and credit transfers during this period where necessary. The transition period ends on 1 August 2014.
