Foreigners looking for instructions to pay a Dutch traffic fine should visit these CJIB web pages:
Due to the Mulder Act on the collection of traffic fines (Wet Mulder), traffic violations no longer fall under criminal law but are instead subject to administrative law, as a result of which the collection of traffic fines has become an administrative duty.
As an implementing body, the Central Judicial Collection Agency (CJIB) is legally authorised to collect outstanding fines directly from the bank account of Dutch residents. Agreements have been made with the banks on efficient execution of this law.
