Online Acceptgiro payments now processed differently

At the start of 2018, banks in the Netherlands agreed to make payment references easier to use.

Acceptgiro payments entered via internet banking and mobile banking will become standard credit transfers. The way Acceptgiro payments submitted online are processed is changing.
During 2018, banks will begin processing Acceptgiro payments entered (or scanned) by payers via internet banking or mobile banking as standard European credit transfers (SEPA Credit Transfers, SCTs). Payers will still be able to enter a payment reference.
