iDIN: easy and secure online identification through your bank

Banks would soon offer a service that allowed their customers to identify themselves online to companies and institutions. The service was called iDIN. Using iDIN was similar to the way consumers used iDEAL.

Customers who chose to use the service could identify themselves with iDIN using their own bank’s secure and trusted login method, for example with insurers, government bodies or online shops. This meant they did not have to request and remember separate access codes.
