From cash to cards: how debit card payments overtook cash in the Netherlands

The Dutch Payments Association, in cooperation with De Nederlandsche Bank, has published an Occasional Study examining changes in Dutch point-of-sale payments over the past seven years. The study provides insight into developments in payments, how these changes affect the way consumers pay for purchases at the point of sale, which consumers use which payment methods and why they do so.
