European Commission investigation involving Dutch Payments Association

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP) has opened an investigation into the role of the Dutch Payments Association in alleged restrictions imposed by Dutch banks on third-party access to their customers’ payment accounts. The Dutch Payments Association will, of course, cooperate fully with the investigation and looks forward to its outcome with confidence.
