iDEAL has risen to fifth place in the ranking of most indispensable brands, according to annual research commissioned by EURIB, the European Institute for Brand Management.

After ranking ninth for two years, iDEAL was valued even more highly by consumers in 2013 than in previous years. Three retailers and the NOS Journaal television news programme ranked ahead of iDEAL.
Earlier this year, iDEAL placed third in the ranking of strong brands (PDF, in Dutch) , behind Google and IKEA. Those two brands ranked sixth and seventh respectively among the most indispensable brands.
