iDEAL remains largest online payment method in 2016

The payments landscape changed little in the first half of 2016 compared with the previous year
As in the first half of 2015, people in the Netherlands most frequently pay for online purchases with iDEAL. Its share remains stable at 56%. Acceptgiro continues to lose ground, while AfterPay’s share is growing faster than average. These findings come from the eCommerce Payment Monitor, a study of payment methods in the Netherlands conducted by GfK in partnership with iDEAL and Thuiswinkel.org.
