New digital mailbox receives a warm welcome<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

On 15 February, ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank jointly launched FiNBOX, the new financial inbox within online banking. One month after the launch, the number of consumer sign-ups has skyrocketed. There have been 70,000 new sign-ups this month. This brings the total number of FiNBOX users \u2013 formerly known as Digitale Nota \/ NotaBox \u2013 to around 420,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Boele Staal, chairman of the Dutch Banking Association: \u201cA month ago, we joined forces with ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank to introduce consumers and organisations to FiNBOX. The high number of new registrations in such a short space of time indicates that the general public is positive about the concept of digital financial mail.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

There are currently nearly 200 organisations sending financial correspondence, such as invoices, pension statements, policy documents and payslips, via FiNBOX. This number is continuing to grow. Everyone benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n

FiNBOX\u2019s success lies in the significant added value it offers both organisations and customers. For customers, ease of use and a clear overview are key. Financial correspondence is received in one place, within the familiar online banking environment of the customer\u2019s own bank. Payments can be made easily with just a few clicks, and all documents are retained for seven years. For organisations, FiNBOX means better customer service and significant efficiency gains in terms of time and money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

About FiNBOX<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

FiNBOX is an initiative of ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank. Other banks have now also shown interest in adding FiNBOX to their online banking services. FiNBOX can receive not only bills but also payslips, pension statements and policy documents. As well as receiving financial correspondence, FiNBOX has a storage function and, of course, a payment function. To be able to receive documents in FiNBOX, customers must be registered with one of the participating companies. They can do this through their bank or directly with the company in question. Organisations wishing to send documents to FiNBOX can contact \u2018billing service providers\u2019 who organise the data transfer to the bank. At present, this is possible through Bluem, ING Invoice Services and PostNL, amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Dutch Banking
Association The Dutch Banking Association(opens in new window)<\/span> <\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/a> was formed in 1989 from a number of different bodies and represents the common interests of Dutch banks. Virtually all banks operating in the Netherlands, including branches of foreign banks, are members of the Dutch Banking Association.
