The schools presented projects to raise money for an event or an expensive purchase. It soon became clear that primary school pupils also associate debit cards and online banking with secure and easy payments. Debit cards and mobile banking apps featured prominently in the schools\u2019 presentations and in a musical performance by youth theatre duo Mike-E &amp; Spike-Y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bas-bankpas\">Bas Bankpas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Money Week includes 5,000 guest lessons at primary schools on how to manage money. Around 4,000 of these are provided through the Dutch Banking Association\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bankvoordeklas.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bank voor de Klas programme (in Dutch)<span class=\"sr-only\">(opens in new window)<\/span> <span class=\"icon inline-block ml-1 w-[0.875em]\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" fill=\"#000000\" viewBox=\"0 0 256 256\"><path d=\"M228,104a12,12,0,0,1-24,0V69l-59.51,59.51a12,12,0,0,1-17-17L187,52H152a12,12,0,0,1,0-24h64a12,12,0,0,1,12,12Zm-44,24a12,12,0,0,0-12,12v64H52V84h64a12,12,0,0,0,0-24H48A20,20,0,0,0,28,80V208a20,20,0,0,0,20,20H176a20,20,0,0,0,20-20V140A12,12,0,0,0,184,128Z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/a> for pupils in the final three years of primary education. State Secretary for Education Sander Dekker launched Bank voor de Klas on Monday afternoon at the Polsstok, Bijlmerhorst and As-Soeffah primary schools in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hundreds of bank employees teach the Bank voor de Klas lessons using the Cash Quiz. The programme\u2019s mascot is Bas Bankpas. Every primary school pupil who takes a Cash Quiz lesson receives a Bas Bankpas card with a unique personal code.
