{"id":2270,"date":"2015-05-25T20:37:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-25T18:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.betaalvereniging.nl\/en\/?p=2270"},"modified":"2026-08-07T02:44:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T00:44:34","slug":"real-time-payments-by-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.betaalvereniging.nl\/en\/news\/real-time-payments-by-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Real-time payments by 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-intro-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Dutch banks and DNB announced that they would invest in a largely new infrastructure for real-time domestic payments over the following four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the National Forum on the Payment System (NFPS), Dutch banks and DNB announced that the new infrastructure would support domestic payments and transfers through internet and mobile banking. An online domestic euro payment could then reach the beneficiary\u2019s bank account within seconds, including at night, at weekends and on public holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new infrastructure would be developed around European standards for SEPA payments. SEPA is the Single Euro Payments Area, the uniform European market for payments. This would allow it to connect in due course to similar future developments elsewhere in the euro area.
