Companies and government bodies could use it to let their customers pay online reliably and easily with a digital direct debit mandate. With the new banking service, launched under the name Digital Mandate Service, companies and institutions banking with ING could offer this reliable digital mandate method on their websites for both recurring and one-off direct debits. The mandate and verification were completed online through the bank, so a paper mandate was no longer required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Piet Mallekoote, director of the Dutch Payments Association, welcomed the new payment method: \u201cThe Digital Mandate Service is a valuable addition to existing ways of arranging matters online.
