An energy company could, for example, print an iDEAL QR code at the bottom of an invoice. The customer no longer needs to copy payment details into online banking, but can pay easily and without errors by scanning the QR code with their mobile phone\u2019s camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-handige-toepassingen\">Convenient applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">iDEAL QR codes can also be used to pay for home deliveries, make purchases directly from advertising posters or transfer a payment from a laptop or desktop computer to a mobile phone. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ideal.nl\/consumenten\/ideal-qr-code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The iDEAL website explains various convenient applications of iDEAL QR (in Dutch)<span class=\"sr-only\">(opens in new window)<\/span> <span class=\"icon inline-block ml-1 w-[0.875em]\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" fill=\"#000000\" viewBox=\"0 0 256 256\"><path d=\"M228,104a12,12,0,0,1-24,0V69l-59.51,59.51a12,12,0,0,1-17-17L187,52H152a12,12,0,0,1,0-24h64a12,12,0,0,1,12,12Zm-44,24a12,12,0,0,0-12,12v64H52V84h64a12,12,0,0,0,0-24H48A20,20,0,0,0,28,80V208a20,20,0,0,0,20,20H176a20,20,0,0,0,20-20V140A12,12,0,0,0,184,128Z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-binnenkort-in-de-mobiele-apps-van-banken\">Coming soon to banks\u2019 mobile apps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consumers can currently use the free iDEAL QR app, available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, to scan iDEAL QR codes.<br>Banks have announced that they will soon add the ability to scan iDEAL QR codes to their own mobile apps. This will make payments using an iDEAL QR code even faster and easier. Adding the functionality to banking apps will also increase consumer confidence in iDEAL QR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-hoge-waardering-door-pilotdeelnemers\">Highly rated by pilot participants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organisations that participated in the pilot over the past year gave iDEAL QR an average score of more than 8 out of 10. They were particularly positive about how easily and quickly they could implement iDEAL QR. The pilot also showed that QR codes have the broadest acceptance among consumers, as almost every smartphone can scan them.
