The payment details are clearly presented in the order in which they must be entered in internet banking, mobile banking or on a paper credit transfer form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Amount payable<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Name of the beneficiary<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Beneficiary\u2019s IBAN<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Payment reference or description<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of a sixteen-digit Dutch payment reference, formerly the <a class=\"internal-link-juicer-keyword-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.betaalvereniging.nl\/en\/glossary\/acceptgiro\/\">Acceptgiro<\/a> payment reference, the sender may include an international ISO payment reference in the Payment Instruction, using up to 21 freely chosen digits and letters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sender of a Payment Instruction can also choose to print a QR code that the payer can scan with a banking app on their smartphone. All payment details are then prepared automatically in the app, so the payer does not have to retype them and cannot make typing errors. The QR code may be a generic QR code for European credit transfers or an iDEAL QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Piet Mallekoote, director of the Dutch Payments Association, warmly recommends the new Payment Instruction: \u201cThe standard Payment Instruction facilitates fast, error-free entry and processing of payments, particularly thanks to the payment reference and QR code. It makes payments easier for payers and recipients alike.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"free-and-contract-free-alternative-to-acceptgiro\">Free and contract-free alternative to Acceptgiro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organisations that still have an Acceptgiro distribution contract can switch to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betaalvereniging.nl\/en\/knowledge-base\/online-payments\/payment-instruction\/\">freely available Payment Instruction template<\/a>. More than nine in ten printed Acceptgiro forms are paid electronically through internet or mobile banking and then thrown away. Acceptgiro use has been declining sharply for years. In 2017, a quarter fewer paper Acceptgiro forms were processed than in the previous year. The template is, of course, also available to anyone without an Acceptgiro contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"additional-alternatives-to-acceptgiro\">Additional alternatives to Acceptgiro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other good alternatives to the disappearing Acceptgiro are Digital Direct Debit Mandates, payment requests with an iDEAL payment link and the iDEAL QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.incassomachtigen.nl\/\">European direct debit (in Dutch) <span class=\"icon inline-block ml-1 w-[0.875em]\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" fill=\"#000000\" viewBox=\"0 0 256 256\"><path d=\"M228,104a12,12,0,0,1-24,0V69l-59.51,59.51a12,12,0,0,1-17-17L187,52H152a12,12,0,0,1,0-24h64a12,12,0,0,1,12,12Zm-44,24a12,12,0,0,0-12,12v64H52V84h64a12,12,0,0,0,0-24H48A20,20,0,0,0,28,80V208a20,20,0,0,0,20,20H176a20,20,0,0,0,20-20V140A12,12,0,0,0,184,128Z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/a> includes several safeguards against incorrect or unwanted debits, allowing consumers to issue one-off or recurring direct debit mandates with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sender of an invoice can send an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ideal.nl\/bedrijven\/ideal-betaallink-aanbieden\/\">iDEAL payment link (in Dutch) <span class=\"icon inline-block ml-1 w-[0.875em]\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"32\" height=\"32\" fill=\"#000000\" viewBox=\"0 0 256 256\"><path d=\"M228,104a12,12,0,0,1-24,0V69l-59.51,59.51a12,12,0,0,1-17-17L187,52H152a12,12,0,0,1,0-24h64a12,12,0,0,1,12,12Zm-44,24a12,12,0,0,0-12,12v64H52V84h64a12,12,0,0,0,0-24H48A20,20,0,0,0,28,80V208a20,20,0,0,0,20,20H176a20,20,0,0,0,20-20V140A12,12,0,0,0,184,128Z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/a> by email or mobile message.
