Companies and institutions sent an Acceptgiro form along with their invoices or requests for donations. The recipient could then sign the form and send it to their own bank to make the payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the use of Acceptgiro declined sharply. Whereas tens of millions of Acceptgiro forms were once processed, by 2022 there were only 3 million. That is why brand owner Currence announced at the end of 2021 that the Acceptgiro would be phased out completely by mid-2023.
