In the struggle for safe and reliable payment, the Dutch Payments Association coordinates and facilitates cooperation between relevant parties to prevent fraud.

The social importance of electronic payment traffic in the Netherlands has increased significantly in recent years. More and more payments are made with a debit card, internet banking, mobile banking apps or peer-to-peer payment apps. Therefore, there is a constant need to secure payments and to fight fraud more effectively.

Anti-fraud activities

Availability and accessibility

The Dutch Payments Association considers it important that payment services can be used by as many people as possible. The availability and accessibility of Dutch payment traffic for shops and consumers is a high priority.

In recent years, there were hardly any problems with availability and accessibility of payment services. Every three years, it is researched what the situation is and, of course, banks pay unprecedented attention to this matter.
