The availability of internet and mobile banking depends on IT systems, their maintenance and any malfunctions

To provide insight into the current availability of internet and mobile banking, the Netherlands Payment Society developed a dashboard. On the dashboard, the current availability of both online banking (desktop or laptop banking) and mobile banking (bank-based app on smartphone or tablet) is shown to the participating consumer banks.

Historical availability

Banks provide periodically information to the Payment Society of the Netherlands about the availability of their systems for internet and mobile banking. That data is merged and reported on this page as a national average.


Banks perform maintenance on systems at night. Therefore, the reporting on the availability of internet and mobile banking only refers to "primetime" hours. These are all hours except between 1:00 AM and 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM in the morning.

  • Primetime on work and Saturdays: from 7:00 to 1:00
  • Primetime on Sundays and public holidays: 08:00 to 1:00
