(Digital) Debit Authorisation now under wings of Payments Association
Since mid-August 2024, the appointment system for (digital) Incassomachtigen (DIM for short) has fallen entirely under the wings of Betaalvereniging Nederland. To this end, the Betaalvereniging acquired all shares of Incassomachtigen BV from Currence, the previous brand and product owner of DIM.

In February 2024, the Betaalvereniging had already acquired all operational activities for DIM from Currence. So the legal transfer of the BV has now also been completed.
The transfer of DIM was mainly driven by the desire to further improve the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of this service. The first results were already visible in the first half of 2024 in a substantial increase in the use of Incassomachtigen.
Together with the banks in our Frictionless Authorisation Task Force, we will further develop the Incasso Authorisation product without inconveniencing users. This should lead to improved ease of use and continued growth in use.
