EPC country profile: how do Dutch payments compare with the EU as a whole?

Gijs Boudewijn, managing director of the Dutch Payments Association, discusses collective payments in the Netherlands in a series of country profiles published by the European Payments Council (EPC). He addresses questions such as: “What are the main features of the Dutch payments landscape and its recent development?” and “How do you envisage Dutch payments developing over the next five years?” The profile also covers Instant Payments, the IBAN Name Check, and the costs and revenues of payment services in the Netherlands.
