Arjan Bol appointed new director of the Dutch Payments Association
On 12 December 2024, the board of the Dutch Payments Association appointed Arjan Bol (53) as Managing Director, effective 1 April 2025. After a short induction period, he will succeed Gijs Boudewijn (66), who will retire on 30 May 2025.

Arjan Bol has extensive experience in financial services in general and in payment transactions in particular. He was previously responsible for payment transactions at ING Netherlands and held various positions at Mastercard, including Country Manager Netherlands. He also has extensive experience as a supervisor at financial institutions active in payment transactions.
The board is delighted with this appointment and wishes Arjan every success in his new position. In mid-May 2025, the Payments Association will organise a symposium to bid farewell to Gijs Boudewijn and welcome Arjan Bol.
